Vrrooommm… to the outer space!

Excited, I was! After having witnessed the alignment of 3 planets in a line in April 2020, I was eager to view the celestial objects like Comet Neowise and Perseid Meteor Shower happening between mid-July and mid-August of this year.

To be frank, I was scared too – I had read that it was one such meteor shower that caused destruction across the planet Earth and was responsible for the extinction of dinosaurs! I didn’t want the world to end so soon; in fact, I was eager to get to school and be amidst my class mates and teachers!

However, the rainy clouds spoiled all my plans and I was not able to witness either. It was disheartening to see my efforts of understanding the night sky, the horizon and the constellations along with long hours of no sleep not bearing any fruit.

I was so unhappy and sad that for almost two mornings I kept crying. Then, last evening when I was trying to catch-up my favorite episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and PJ Masks, I had a sudden flash of thought – why wait for them to happen? Why not travel to outer space and watch them more clearly?

As I hit the bed, the thought of travelling to outer space and witnessing these celestial objects without the disturbance of city lights or polluted atmosphere suddenly made more sense. Probably my talents and interests in sciences, maths and astronomy may help me.

When I researched further, I figured out that Elon Musk is working on making Space Tourism a reality. I look forward to Captaining such space travels and helping school children see the Asteriod Belts that lie between Mars and Jupiter or be chase the Comets as they visit our planet Earth. And yeah, maybe be the first to communicate with aliens or Extra-Terrestrial beings, if any!
