Wings Athlos 2025 at Baldwin International School was honestly one of the most unforgettable days of this year for me. As the Vice-Captain of Hebron House, I had been looking forward to it for weeks but also secretly stressing! We practiced so tiringly every single day, whether it was perfecting our marchpast lines or repeating the dance steps till our legs felt like jelly. But we kept going, because (other than the fact that we had to) we wanted to show what Hebron was truly capable of.

On the day of the event, the entire field felt alive. The music, the colours, the excitement. Everything just hit differently. I cheered my lungs out during the inter-school and inter-house track events. It wasn’t just cheering. It felt like I was pouring out every bit of pride I had for my Baldwin family. When they announced that Hebron had won 2nd place for Marchpast, I felt this wave of pride wash over me. All those long hours had finally paid off.

But nothing prepared me for what came next. Hearing Hebron House being declared the Overall Best House of 2025 was a moment I will remember forever. We screamed, we hugged, and honestly, I teared up. This victory meant so much more because in the eight years since the school started, Hebron had never even reached the top two. Let alone actually win. And to win this year, of all years, when our house had faced so many downs, made it even more special.

In that moment I realized something important: we didn’t win because everything was perfect. We won because we stayed together, pushed forward, and believed in ourselves during hard times as a team. Hebron didn’t just fly. We soared.
