My pet cat - Cragen

Hello Everyone! This is the second poem from my book - Fleeting Feelings. It gives you a glimpse into how it feels when your pet disappears. I hope you enjoy it!

I miss the sound of tiny feet,

The wagging tail, the welcome greet.

You waited by the door each day,

But now you've softly slipped away.

Your bed is still, your toys untouched,

A silence here that hurts too much.

Your collar hangs, a quiet chime,

A bell that marks the passing time.

I see your shadow in the hall,

I hear your meow that's not at all.

They say you're running skies above,

Still chasing dreams and giving love.

Though you are gone, you're always near,

A memory that's bright and clear.

You weren't just pet, you were my friend.

And love like that won't ever end.
