Built from every tear

This is the fourth poem from my book - Fleeting Feelings. It talks about being resilient even when the future seems bleak for there is always a way. I hope you enjoy it!
I used to hide from things unknown,
Afraid to fail, afraid alone.
I built up walls and stayed inside,
Where comfort lived and fears could hide.
But strength was not in staying still,
It came with every tiny will.
Each time I shook and still went on,
Another fear was slowly gone.
The voice of doubt still sometimes speaks,
But now I climb the highest peaks.
I face the dark, I speak my truth,
I grow more bold with each new proof.
For courage isn’t fear denied,
It’s walking forward, though you’ve cried.
And strength is built from every tear,
That dares to fall, but persevere.
