Have you seen Orchids? No, not our school logo. The flower Orchids and lots of them at one go? They say nature’s beauty can be seen in Orchids various colours, shapes and sizes. Blessed, I am, as last year, I got a chance to admire nature’s beauty but also get a chance to take pictures of myself.
In the morning of a cool Spring Saturday morning, I had just finished playing badminton and was profusely sweating and wanting to rest. Just then my dad asked me to get ready to see plenty of Orchids and Tulips. I was surprised because I know that Orchid Orchards and Tulip Gardens are generally seen in Europe and America. My anxiety took the better of me and in a jiffy I was ready.
After driving for around an hour, my dad stopped at Lalbagh. It was neither Republic Day nor Independence Day, the usual days when flower show is conducted here. As he parked the car and we began to walk, I asked him, “are we here to take a rest?” Taken aback, my Dad said, wait until we reach the next entrance. In a few minutes, we arrived at a mini auditorium which we entered after buying the entry tickets.
Out there, I saw plenty of flowers and varieties of them. I almost saw flowers of every colour except green and saw them in various sizes. Well, did you know there are flowers for each month? The picture below lists the months, the flowers along with the meanings of their names:
