In June 2024, I participated in a competition held by Champ Quest Foundation and the article was published in Noted Nest - https://www.notednest.com/post/the-invisible-girl-from-lumina
The article is as below:

"In the heart of the dense, enchanted forest, nestled amidst twisting trees and whispering leaves, there existed a peculiar little village called Lumina. Lumina was home to an assortment of mystical creatures, from mischievous pixies to wise old wizards. And in Lumina, there lived a young apprentice wizard named Dhamathi.
Dhamathi was a curious lass, always eager to learn new spells and uncover ancient secrets. One fateful day, while exploring the outskirts of Lumina, Dhamathi stumbled upon a small cave hidden behind a curtain of ivy. Inside the cave, she encountered a goblin unlike any she had ever seen before. This goblin, named Grimbly, was not like the others—instead of causing trouble, she seemed to be studying a mysterious book with great concentration.
Intrigued by Grimbly's unusual behavior, Dhamathi approached cautiously. Grimbly, sensing Dhamathi's presence, looked up with a toothy grin. "Ah, a young lass! What brings you to my humble abode?"
"I seek knowledge," Dhamathi replied, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "I wish to learn powerful spells and unlock the secrets of magic."
Grimbly chuckled, revealing rows of sharp teeth. "Well, well, you've come to the right place, young one. I possess a spell that could make you invisible—a most useful trick, wouldn't you agree?"
Dhamathi's heart leaped with excitement. Invisibility! The thought of such a spell filled her mind with endless possibilities. "Please, teach me this spell," she implored eagerly.
Grimbly nodded sagely and began to chant in a guttural tongue, weaving intricate gestures with her gnarled fingers. Dhamathi watched in awe as the air around her shimmered and wavered, until finally, she felt a strange sensation wash over her. When she glanced down, she gasped in amazement—her hands had vanished from sight!
Overjoyed by her newfound power, Dhamathi thanked Grimbly profusely and hurried back to Lumina to test her invisibility spell. But in her excitement, she neglected to ask Grimbly how to reverse the spell.
For days, Dhamathi reveled in her newfound invisibility, delighting in the mischief she could cause and the secrets she could uncover. But as time passed, she began to grow uneasy. She realized that she had become isolated from her friends and mentors in Lumina, unable to interact with them without revealing her invisible presence.
Desperate to undo the spell, Dhamathi returned to the cave where she had first met Grimbly, hoping to find the goblin and plead for her help. But to her dismay, the cave was empty, devoid of any sign of Grimbly or the mysterious book.
Feeling defeated, Dhamathi wandered aimlessly through the forest, pondering her predicament. It was then that she stumbled upon an ancient oak tree, its gnarled branches reaching towards the sky like outstretched fingers. All of a sudden, a creature – a fishnaur (half dinosaurs – legs and half fish) jumped out of the tree! She hid behind the bushes and watched in awe as the figure slowly moved out of eyesight. She walked nearby. She saw letters of her language written on the tree. As she gazed up at the tree, inspiration struck her like a bolt of lightning.
With newfound determination, Dhamathi began to chant, channeling the magic within her as she traced intricate symbols in the air. Slowly but surely, the invisible threads of magic that bound her began to unravel, until finally, with a shimmering burst of light, she stood before the ancient oak once more, visible to the world once more.
Filled with gratitude and relief, Dhamathi vowed to never take magic for granted again. And as she made her way back to Lumina, she knew that her adventures were far from over—after all, with great power came great responsibility, and she was ready to embrace whatever challenges lay ahead."
