Have we thought about the day when the recycle bin could probably refuse to accept plastic? Scary, isnt it?? While the scientists are working on safer alternatives, as responsible citizens of the future, let’s do our best to reuse plastic. And here are some of the funkiest ways you can reuse plastic.
1) Do you feel hot? Do you need to cool down? Do you want to have fun playing a water fight but don’t have the material? Well, then you can have fun.
Materials: Plastic bottle, and a pen.
Steps:
a) Take your pen and poke holes in the cap of the bottle.
b) Fill the bottle and then put the cap with holes back on.
Voila! Now get out of the house into the verandah or terrace and have a water fight by swishing the water bottle on your partner. I wish you the best of luck.
2) Oink! Oink! I am piggy bank. Yes friends, we can also make a piggy bank using a bottle.
Materials: Bottle and knife. Please do take the help of parents while you are using a knife.
Steps:
a) Take a large plastic bottle that has a wide mouth
b) Cut a slot on the lid.
c) Then paint it in your favourite color and leave to dry.
d) Get your favorite stickers – toons, superhero, flowers & butterflies, etc and stick on it
Presto! Your own piggy bank is ready.
3) Trouble finding pencils, pens, sketches or markers? Well, an old saying goes, “a place for everything and everything in its place”. How about a place for them too...
Materials: Bottle and a knife. Please do take the help of parents while you are using a knife.
Steps:
a) Cut the bottle in half / just half an inch below the neck
b) Now paint it and let it dry.
c) Use funky colors and glitter to draw few geometrical shapes artistically. Let it dry.
Bingo! Your new pen holder is ready. You could create one for each room too!
